When trying to decide on a good promotional vehicle for Xavier technologies, we wanted something that would be a real "eye catcher" as it will be shown at auto shows etc. The GTM (pictured above) certainly meets that criteria. Another desirable characteristic is that there is no internal combustion engine to remove because it is sold as a kit. This is one of several kits offered by Factory Five. The body design of the GTM is a cross between a Corvette and a Ferrari and the chassis is made to accomodate a 350-hp engine from a Corvette built from 1997-2004 although the manufacturer built one with a 505-hp, 7.0-liter mill from a Corvette Z06. However, because the GTM is 684 pounds lighter and carries a greater percentage of its weight on the rear axle, the GTM outperformed a Corvette Z06 on a test track in handling and acceleration. We, on the other hand, are going to turn it into an electric vehicle and will be posting pictures as they become available.
